In late-2017, I started a blog called Online Builder Guy.
I was writing detailed blog posts about online site builders, and I loved the topic. But after one year of covering online site builders, I sensed that something wasn't quite right.
I realized that I wasn't blogging about the topic I wanted to blog about. And although online site builders had been to fun write about, my thoughts were on WordPress.
So I decided to change the scope of this blog from online site builders to WordPress.
There was just one problem: I was facing fierce competition from other WordPress bloggers. So I had to somehow differentiate myself from my competitors.
Unfortunately, I didn't know how to do it.
One day, I was browsing some freelance writer groups on FaceBook. And then, in the middle of the browsing session, my middle-aged brain figured out something:
"What if I started to write about WordPress but targeting freelance writers?"
I realized that this idea was actually a good one the more I thought about it and the more research I did!"
Bingo, I had found a way to be different from my competition!
So here I am, with a new website, helping freelancers to build their website with WordPress. And if you don't like WordPress for some reason, no worries! I also cover alternative ways to create a website with tools like Wix, Weebly, or Squarespace.
I'm here for you. So if you have questions, let me know (either in the comments or through the contact form), and I'll try to help you out!
So goodbye, onlinebuilderguy.com. Welcome, freelancewriterwebsite.com!
